Manufactories
Manufactories are a key element of Elvenar. They produce an important resource: Goods!
Goods will be needed for any kind of progress, such as: unlocking technologies, upgrading buildings, quests, and exploring Provinces (if you want to negotiate instead of fight).
There are 9 different Manufactories in Elvenar and you will find them under the "Goods" tab in the Buildings menu.
Goods Categories
As you progress through the chapters, you will see two types of Goods: The Standard Goods and the Sentient Goods.
Standard Goods
Standard Goods are grouped into three categories: Basic Goods, Crafted Goods and Magical Goods.
The Basic Goods can be researched quite early in the Research Tree. You only need to unlock the corresponding Manufactories and their production costs are relatively low. On the other hand, Crafted and Magical Goods will only become available later in the game and their cost of production is more expensive. However, they will be necessary to unlock higher technologies and exploring distant provinces.

Marble | Crystal | Elixir |
Steel | Scrolls | Magic Dust |
Planks | Silk | Gems |
Sentient Goods
Sentient Goods are also grouped into three categories: Basic Sentient Goods, Crafted Sentient Goods and Magic Sentient Goods. The Sentient Goods can be researched from Chapter XII - The Elementals and beyond in the Research Tree and can be produced in any Manufactory level 24 or higher. In these Manufactories, the productions of Regular Goods of 1 day and 2 days will be replaced by productions of the corresponding Sentient Goods, keeping the productions of 3 hours and 9 hours unchanged.
To produce Sentient Goods, you will need Divine Seeds and the corresponding Standard Goods from that Manufactory.
The Sentient Goods are subject to a special decay. You can store unlimited amounts of Sentient Goods in your Main Hall, but they will decay overnight by 10%. Sentient Goods decay like Mana and Divine Seeds but, unlike them, they will not just disappear but "transform back" into the original resource. For example, if you have 1000 Moonstone, and the decay is 10%, you will lose 100 Moonstone overnight and gain 100 Marble.

Elven Tree Gum | Velvet | Cosmic Bismuth |
As soon as you reach Chapter XII - The Elementals, you can upgrade your Trader to level 3 and after that, you can trade Sentient Goods with other players.
At the beginning of the game, you probably needed several Basic Goods to trade with other players in the Trader to obtain Crafted and Magical goods. This will also happen with the Sentient Goods. You will need the Basic Sentient Goods to trade them initially for Crafted Sentient Goods, and the same for the Magical Sentient Goods.
Production Boosts
Standard Goods Production Boost
Over the course of the game, you will gain the ability to increase your production of three out of the 9 Goods in the game (one per each category). The three Boosted Goods are assigned randomly to you at the start, and they will depend on your location on the map. You can see them listed in the Main Hall.
In addition to being able to see in your Main Hall which Goods you have production boost, in the Buildings menu on the Goods tab you have the indication of Manufacturies whose production is boosted by the Relics!
To activate a production boost, you need to unlock its technology in the Research Tree and collect the corresponding Relics on the World Map. The more corresponding Relics you collect, the more your boosts will be upgraded in the Main Hall.
Hint:: As you will have 3 Standard Goods that will be boosted, it is recommended to concentrate your production on those Goods and trade them for the other 6 Goods.You can do so via the Trader. |
Relics are elements that allow you, from the very beginning, to increase your production of goods, but they are limited to 700%. When you reach this limit, you will see a visual indication that the maximum bonus provided by the relics has been reached. However, you can increase that bonus further if you build certain Ancient Wonders.
If you click on the building while it is producing, you can see the progress of the production, see how long your production will take and how much you will receive from it. You can find out what your regular production of goods is and how much you produce as a result of the relic bonus by placing your cursor over the green arrow next to the goods icon. You can also, at any time, cancel your production and you will receive back the resources you have invested.
Sentient Goods Production Boost
Your new boosted Sentient Good will be your current boosted Standard Good +1.
In the case of "Basic Sentient Goods", we have the following:
- If your Basic Good with production boost is Marble, then your Basic Sentient Goods with production boost will be Platinum (Steel);
- If your Basic Good with production boost is Steel, then your Basic Sentient Goods with production boost will be Elven Tree Gum (Planks);
- If your Basic Good with production boost is Planks, then your Basic Sentient Goods with production boost will be Moonstone (Marble).
The same logic is followed for other Sentient Goods.
To activate a Sentient Goods Production Boost, you need to unlock its technology in the Research Tree much later in the game and collect the corresponding Relics on the World Map. The more corresponding Relics you collect, the more your boosts will be upgraded in the Main Hall.
The image in the Main Hall will change, as you research the Sentient Goods.
The number of Relics needed to get a certain production boost is the same as for the Standard Goods and can be found in the Relics Overview
Hint:: The production of any Goods type can be boosted with Relics of this type, with Ancient Wonders and with the use of Magical Manufacturing Enchantment. |
