Dwarven Portal
The Dwarven Portal is the building that allows you to start reviving the Dwarven race little by little. As soon as you research its technology and place the building in your city, you will start seeing Dwarves coming through the Portal and walking in your streets.
Purpose
The Portal is meant to be the building that establishes and maintains the connection between your city and the Dimension of the Lost Souls, where the forgotten races of the old world are roaming, but will also act as the storage for the pure Dwarven resources - Granite and Copper.
Being the only way to bring the Dwarves back to life and keep them in your city until they are fully established, the Portal will need a street connection to your Main Hall at all times, just like all the buildings you have so far. To then connect the Portal to the Dwarven buildings - Granite Mine and Copper Foundry - you will need a special street called the Portal Tracks.
The Portal will also be used as a storage for the new resources the Dwarves introduce to your city as well as being the source for their production bonus.
Clicking on the building opens your inventory for the Granite and Copper and it will show you the storage capacity for those two Goods, as well as the current bonus percentage. When the storage is full for one or both Goods, it will show a red bar on the respective Good information. To enlarge its storage capacity you will need to upgrade the Portal to the next level.
If you hover your mouse over the Dwarven Portal you will be able to see a tooltip with the current storage capacity and how filled with Goods your building is.
Requirements
You can only build the Dwarven Portal after researching its technology and as long as you have the proper resources to unlock it in the Research Tree. It needs a street connection to the Main Hall, it can be sold, rebuilt and upgraded.
Hint: Even if you sell the Dwarven Portal Site you will keep the race's resources in your city! |
Upgrade
Upgrading the Dwarven Portal to a new level will increase:
- The amount of Granite and Copper you can store;
- The production bonus for the two Dwarven Goods;
