Neighborly Help

Visiting Others

As it has been noted, you can always pay a visit to every player to get inspiration for your city.

However, not all cities will be available for you to trade with or give help to.

By scouting Provinces, neighbors within a certain range will become your natural trading partners. This means that you can exchange Goods with them using your Trader, but he will put a fee of 50% on top of the demanded amount for the ones you haven't discovered yet. As a result, trading with your undiscovered neighbors can be a bit expensive at first.

Once you have scouted a bordering Province of a neighbor's city, things become more interesting. Your relationship state with that neighbor will turn to "Discovered", meaning you will be able to trade with him more effectively. Or in other words: the Trader will not ask you for a fee when you take an offer from a discovered neighbor.

So, keep on scouting and discovering others!

The second benefit of discovering a neighbor is the ability to give him Neighborly Help once a day. The Neighborly Help allows you to interact with other players and to be rewarded for it. You can donate Coins to his Main Hall, polish his Cultural Buildings or motivate his Builders' Hut.

Give Neighborly Help

To give Neighborly Help to a discovered player, visit his city, select the Neighborly Help icon on the Main Menu and choose the building you want to help, from the ones showing the same icon.

By giving Neighborly Help, you will be rewarded with some Coins for your kindness. The amount of Coins depends on your Main Hall level. You can see the current amount on a Tooltip, over the "Neighborly Help" info, in the Main Hall.

If your neighbor has also helped you within the last 24 hours, you will also be rewarded with Supplies. In fact, if both of you do this regularly, you will both receive additional Supplies all the time. The amount of Supplies you get depends on your Main Hall level. You always get 10% of the coins you get.

After helping a player, a 23 hour countdown timer will start and once the time is over, you can help him again. The timer is displayed on the World Map as well as on the Neighborly Help button tooltip of the player.

Hint:You can only help players you have already discovered on the World Map. Keep scouting Provinces in order to be able to help more players.

Reward Chests

When giving Neighborly Help to your neighbors you have a chance to get a reward chest. You will get a message on screen when there is a reward chest hidden somewhere around the City. These reward chests give a random reward. The rewards it can give are:

  1. Knowledge points
  2. Relics
  3. Spells

You can only open 3 reward chests per day.

Receive Neighborly Help

When you receive Neighborly Help in your own city, you will get a notification under your portrait, to inform you which building has been helped and by whom. You will also see an icon above the buildings which received help. The effect of the help depends on the building type and the actual bonus is displayed in its tooltip.
