Copper Foundry
The Copper Foundry is the second building that the Dwarves will bring into your city and it will produce Copper.
Purpose
Copper is an important Good needed for upgrading the Dwarven Portal, Granite Mines and Copper Foundries, as well as for unlocking some new technologies in the Research Tree.
It can be boosted by upgrading the Dwarven Portal in order to allow you to produce more in the same amount of time.
Producing Copper requires input resources - your 2 non boosted Basic Goods, so make sure you have plenty of those in your Main Hall Storage. There are 4 options to start a Copper production, which differ in production time and amount of input and output.
While the production is running, you will see its progress through the remaining production time. You will know that there is a bonus given from a boost if you see a green arrow on the Goods icon. If you want, you can cancel the production and you will get the input resources back.
Remember, however, to keep your Copper balanced as it will be collectable only until your storage is full. Once, or if, this happens you have to spend the Goods in order to collect more.
Requirements
To get a Copper Foundry you need to unlock its technology in the Research Tree and build it via the Buildings menu, as long as you have the required resources. It needs a Portal Alley connection to the Dwarven Portal, it can be sold, rebuilt and upgraded.
Upgrade
Upgrading a a Copper Foundry to the next level will increase:
- The amount of produced Copper Goods per time. So, the production will be more efficient!
